As a project of Aunt Leah’s Independent Lifeskills Society, the Friendly Landlord network is able to draw from over 30 years of experiencing in providing housing supports. This project aims to work with private and public sector partners to improve the outcomes of youth and families connected to government care through a network of friendly landlords. This project is based on the premise that there is un-tapped desire among private-sector landlords to be part of the solution to youth homelessness, and aims to create the type of supports that parented young adults receive when leaving home for the first time.
